This policy explains how DoAzores ([LEGAL ENTITY]) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device; we also use similar technologies (pixels, SDKs, local storage). Some are set by us, some by third parties.
2. Your consent
We place strictly necessary cookies without consent. All other cookies are placed only with your prior, specific and informed consent, given through our cookie banner. You can accept all or reject all — equally easily — and change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings”. That single choice covers every non-essential category below; we do not offer per-category toggles. Non-essential scripts do not run until you consent.
3. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — login, security, load-balancing, and remembering your booking step. No consent required (Lei 41/2004, art. 5.º exemption). Examples: session cookies and Cloudflare security.
- Functional — remember preferences (e.g. language) and, when you arrive via a campaign link or QR code, credit the referring campaign. Set only with consent. Example:
doazores_attribution(first-party, expires after 30 days). - Analytics — understand usage to improve the service (PostHog), including session replay. Set only with consent.
- Marketing — measure campaigns and retargeting. We do not currently set marketing cookies; if that changes they will be covered by the same opt-in.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies rely on the exemption in Lei 41/2004, art. 5.º. All other categories rely on your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)); analytics (PostHog) and marketing are loaded only after you opt in.
5. Managing and withdrawing consent
Use the “Cookie settings” button in the bottom-left corner of the site to change your choices at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without affecting the service.
6. Third-party cookies
Third parties (e.g. PostHog analytics, and payment and security providers) may set cookies subject to your consent and their own policies; see our Privacy Policy for the processors and international-transfer safeguards.

We may update this policy; the current version and its date appear above.
